Good question.

The next guy is coach Brian Kelly (11-1). Hopefully, ND is out of the playoffs... Cincinnati/Oklahoma State deserves a spot before ND.

Then we settle with either Stoops or Kiffin.

Riley sounds like he loves the chase but will never actually commit.

I won't be mad at woodward as long as he has a solid number 2 ready.

Riley had warts just like any coach. Lsu can win chips with the right coach. Doesn't have to be riley.

Dave aranda can come in and win a chip with the right oc and mix of recruiters.

I want to reiterate the fact that this a-hole went to Oklahoma to break the news Riley would never be coach at LSU lmao

So let's estimate Riley has gotten all the new shiny toys and Facility upgrade promises from Ok to make him SEC ready. ... a good AD would have thoroughly studied the potential hires to the T. I have faith we get a coach that will be a big time hire and be very successful in the rugged SEC.

Brian Kelly is a long shot... No established coach wants to make a move.

He can talk to 2 coaches at once

Maybe Aranda is happy at Baylor. They could be the alpha dog in the new big 12. Or maybe LSU puts on a full court press now. Idk. Maybe it’s still Riley.

LSU won championships with Miles and O. Neither were sniffing any tier at the time of their hire. It’s going to be ok. Y’all need to relax.

I was strongly anti Kiffin, but I would take him in a heartbeat over Stoops or BOB.

Thinking Riley/agent was using the LSU offer for upgrades in budget/facilities...

If he was the #1 target and turned us down, woof.

I totally agree. If he did man then he really made a bad business and career decision.

He’s tapped out success wise at Oklahoma. LSU not only we’re throwing the kitchen sink at him but we’re going to give him 2M to go get the best DC. Unlimited resources, state of the facilities and big time support statewide.

It really doesn’t make any sense. Guess he’s content and doesn’t want to coach and play against the best college football has to offer today. What a lush.

Ole Miss finished 10-2 and 2nd in SEC - West.

Lane Kiffin dropped the ball against Alabama on the national stage... The Popcorn show looked bad.

Would Woodward risk his reputation on Kiffin?

That's the question. Odds he goes with Mark Stoops.

Just like Herman and Jimbo, Riley will regret this decision. OU will be like aTm when they join the SEC.

But Stops and Kiffin would gladly coach at LSU for the opportunity of their lifetime.

Someone believes it is an opportunity of a lifetime... That's the guy if offered, takes the job.

I hope Scott has maintained an open line with Aranda through this all. I can't imagine Aranda electing to stay in Waco and turning down LSU, but idk either.

I could see him choosing USCal over LSU, given his ties to southern California, but I can't imagine him remaining at Baylor over returning to LSU, especially since he already knows how popular he is in Louisiana and that his path to winning national championships is easier at LSU than literally anywhere else.

And there you have it. These guys, like most Lousianian’s, can’t keep their mouths shut, and jump at every sound bite.

You think Woodward doesn’t know this? You think he’s that daft to know these guys won’t leak stuff.

Chill. He’s got this under control.

The big question … is Aranda and/or Napier in hand as a credible backup?

Or did Scott get caught with his dick in his hand?
