There are a ton of explanations here:
A) exit interview to leave for the Bama job
B) exit interview to leave for the Seahawks
C) renegotiating his contract to stay (aka the Jimmy Sexton special)
D) just confirming he’ll be back (least likely)
I only see about a 40% chance he goes to Bama but I hope he does I think he’s an incredible coach.

Oh he's getting a new contract. There's no question about that. Just a matter of who it is with and whether it's in college or the NFL.

He’s the one coach I hope Bama doesn’t get. He probably won’t finish first or second every year in recruiting, but that’s not really necessary for a coach like him. Top 10 recruiting would be plenty, and almost impossible not to achieve.

If he turns down a monster contract at UW and a Seattle Seahawks offer to move to Tuscaloosa under Saban’s thumb I really question his decision making skills.

I agree & don’t think he’d turn down the Seahawks. I just don’t think the Seahawks are gonna offer him the job.
