This is the only real play here. LSU will not be able to hire any coordinators with O as the HC.

It makes sense but...how do you play it in the media? How do you explain firing Orgeron? Does he come up with some mysterious illness that forces him to take a leave of absence or retire? Or do you have to admit that you promoted the wrong guy last year?

I do not see how the fan base would be happy if Aranda left and then have O as the head coach. Aranda to head coach is the only real answer. 8 million buyout for O is huge but the purpleandgoldlash(Van Jones Approves) would hurt more than the 8 million.

I'm not sure he wants to be a HC. I think he spends his entire career coaching defense. His attention to detail and intelligence would make him a possible great HC, just not sure if he has the desire to be one.

Simple. You disclose all the happenings between O and Canada and pin the losses on O meddling in offense. Say it wasnt worth the risk moving forward and clearly O hasnt been honest with the BOS at the time of hiring. Not that hard.
