Supposedly as OL and run game coordinator

Interesting

How much is A&M paying Christenson? He was making 500k at Utah as the offensive coordinator.

It would have to be a decent amount of money to take a career downgrade.

His career path so far

OL Coach > OL Coach > OL Coach > OC > OC >Head Coach > OC > OL Coach

I just don't get it

Maybe Whittingham is planning on leaving and he's jumping ship while he still has the chance.

His Bio says nothing is changing in Aggie Land
quote:

Christensen devised and implemented one of college football's most exciting no-huddle, spread offenses at Mizzou, where he was named the 2007 National Offensive Coordinator of the Year by Rivals.com and was runner-up for the 2007 Frank Broyles Award, honoring the nation's top assistant coach. Missouri played in the Big 12 Championship game in both 2007 and 2008 as the champion of the Big 12 North.

We can thank this guy for the 2007 title, they got pushed around like step children by OU that day.

I also see nothing in their proving his worth as a RUN GAME COORDINATOR.

looks tough

Being an LSU fan, you wouldn't know it, but you don't have to be in double tight, one foot splits, power I to have an effective run game. I don't blame you for your ignorance; it's Les's fault.

Dude

You're Texas A&M

Why?

Why are you talking shite?

You're Texas A&M. Your team gave up 400 yards rushing to Les and his squaf one month ago.

He was essentially asked not to come back to Utah. There are more coaching changes in the works at Utah. I posted last night that very well connected people are saying also that Whittingham is going to be out with Dan Mullen as possible replacement, but somebody whacked it.

This seems like a good hire. Christensen's Utah offense had the Pac12's leading rusher, but also generated the fewest completions this season. The Ags would benefit with a greater emphasis on the run game I think.

Do you Ags think Christensen will be allowed to move the offense towards something more resembling Utah's or does Spavatal still get to call 35 bubble screens a game?

Sumlin has said he wants the offense to become more physical and disciplined so I think he's serious about it. If he lets Christensen leave his mark I am pretty pumped about this hire, his offenses utilize TEs and H backs way more than we have in the past and I expect our line to return to being much more physical

and until Les Miles leaves, LSU and their 60's offense will never win anything like a conference title or national title.
Cam Cameron even threatened to run a "1950's Offense" during 2014 Spring practice in QB/WR drills when they couldn't do anything right. Cam made true his promise during the season.

BTW, Sumlin never should have been hired at A+M. Now he even needs a coach to "Coordinate the OL and Running Game."

Like we have always said: Sumlin Success = Holgorsen + Keenum + Manziel. They Gone. He Clueless. He Gone by 2016......

Hey corndog, do you know what LSU coach Jeff Grimes' title is?

quote:

BATON ROUGE – Jeff Grimes, who served as offensive line coach at Auburn when the Tigers won the 2010 national title, has been named offensive line coach and running game coordinator at LSU, head coach Les Miles announced on Tuesday.

Yes, and we run the ball. Aggy, not so much.

Nobody in Aggieland wants Spav to repeat his 2014 performance. We couldn't run block so Spav called a bunch of worthless screen passes.

This hire will go a long way towards improving the offense if Christensen coaches like Sumlin expects him to. This guy knows how to run the ball in spread offenses. He can coach.
