He's in Year 6 with Baylor, and reports are he's most likely being let go.

I think LSU needs a very good OC minded coach. I liked Dave but we don’t need a Defensive minded coach. JMHO.

He has mixed qualifications. He's got a high degree of character and has avoided doing stupid personal stuff. He's also a genius when it comes to football. But he's also a little quirky and comes across as odd. So it would be questionable if he could really do the job as well as someone else could.
