Alabama fans are pathetic. It's like y'all feel entitled to be the only football program in the state. Whether it's trying to hold Auburn down by keeping the Iron Bowl in Bham or it's trying to keep UAB from having a successful football program, Bama fans are anti-anything football in this state. Why is that?
Why does any Bama fan give a frick what UAB does with their money? If profitability is a concern, than most of Division 1 football wouldn't even field a team. I hope UAB gets on it's feet and has a successful program along the lines of Cinncinatti or USF.

UAB had 17658, 28351 (Mississippi State), 8872, 13909, and 14103 for their home games.
They said the attendance for the UCF game was 8872. There weren't 2,000 people in the stadium for that.

I'm also amazed at the amount of negative comments that are generated from Alabama fans toward UAB. Every article about UAB on al.com has comments from Bama fans stating that the program should be shut down. One of the coaching candidates being mentioned is John Neal, the secondary coach at Oregon. According to an article on him, UAB had the #5 ranked defense in the country when he was the DC and recruiting coordinator at UAB. A lot of FBS schools average between 20 to 30 thousand fans per game. I'm not surprised that a school with a losing record that plays its games in a run down off campus stadium would average near 15,000.
