RB coach and maybe co-OC in title only if he joins the staff

Oh hell yeah. Would love this hire!

Excellent hire, every staff needs an ace recruiter. He won’t call plays.

No, Drink has already said he’s calling plays. It’s really the perfect situation to bring him in. Give him the RB position, but the title and the money. Let him do his thing.

He’s ranked #511 on 247 recruiter rankings.
He’s only listed as having one recruit. Also because he’s the recruiting coordinator 247 doesn’t have him listed as the head recruiter on a lot of guys. If you look further back he was regularly a top 10 recruiter in the big 12.

He’s a really good recruiter, but your compliance will need to keep an eye on him

Maybe he stopped recruiting? Due to being on the go to Mizzou? I believe this will be very good for Mizzou since Mizzou team recruiting usually in the 20's to 40's. That is another reason to go hired a coach that can do better in recruiting players to compete in the SEC. Once the coaching staff is completed then things should picked up in the next recruiting cycle.

He only has one recruit listed in 247, likely an error on their part.

He is a good RB coach and a good recruiter. He kind of fell off the map moving from AU to TCU. He and Drink met and became friends while they were both on staff in Auburn. Solid hire for Drinkowitz.

Really liked Luper at Auburn. Do not want him back in the SEC.

Any chance he brings Trooper Taylor with him?

If he did, the AD should just go ahead and give the team a self-ban from postseason play due to the future NCAA sanctions.
