JMU coach currently, winning record their first year going from FCS to FBS. Son of a legendary HC. Three years experience under Saban. WVU alum. Any chance for a bigger job like WVU or is he too old and that ship has sailed? Trying to think of some under the radar candidates.

Why not just offer the job to Jimbo? Aggy might go for a negotiated settlement where they only have the pay the difference is what’s he’s owed vs what WVU pays him.

WVU should at least call and gauge interest. I like HCNB as a person, seems like a good guy but his W/L record just isn't going to cut it.

Let take a look at Nebraska for an example. Wonder why? No good recruiting ground and in a bad conference and too far away from the others in the Big 12. That right there is a big red flag. Then you have others take best players around due to better conferences and better programs in general.

Jimbo’s comments about potentially coaching there were strange, and you could definitely make the case that he’s checked out.

WVU has never recruited at an elite level. They need a coach who is good at identifying overlooked talent and finding diamonds in the rough and fitting them into a system and developing them.

Jimbo, is not that gut. Cignetti is an interesting name. His father coached here.

See: Pat White, Major Harris, Steve Slaton, Stedman Bailey etc.

I like him too

He is doing everything right to run a program but his coaching leaves a lot to be desired

I didn't realize he was already 61 just from seeing him on TV. I don't think that should discourage WVU from looking at him though. He would be a compelling hire.

I also got a chuckle out of this pic when looking him up.
