From Chip Kelly to Mario Cristobal, ouch. Programs can fall apart quickly.

Well let's compare. Arkansas went out and hired a sitting head coach from a Power 5 conference. How'd that work out?

Whereas LSU hired their defensive line coach, who went 6-2 as an interim coach, and 9-3 as a head coach. And beat Arkansas like a drum both years.

Funny how things work out.

I've always thought Cristobal was fired too soon at FIU. I think he'll do well at Oregon. Plus I think he'll be loyal to Oregon as well.

Sure, but using other criteria they aren't. Even you know it.

Eta...even based on that it's skewed. Chip didn't have 3 chances against sub par LSU teams. Chip went against a once in a lifetime D.

It’s astounding how many interim coaches are still hired on a full-time basis even though almost all of them turn out to be massive failures.

Chip lost to LSU’s best team of all time. There’s no shame in that. Also scored the most on that LSU team that season too fwiw.

Would’ve preferred Leavitt personally. Either way, next year’s team should be very good. We'll see what happens once Herbert is gone.

Every AD thinks it will go like Dabo. It doesn't.

I don't understand the negative reaction to hiring an assistant coach, especially one with Cristobal's background.

Dabo and Lincoln Riley seem to be working out well

Coach O has feasted on Hogs lately. Like all LSU coaches. Hence the series record.

I thought Norvell would of been an excellent hire for Oregon.

I honestly have no clue which way it'll go If he can keep Leavitt he's headed in a good direction. He had the defense turned around in 1 year.

Eta....Oregon could be seriously fricked though.

Taggett is not not scary at all. He underwhelms me.
