I can't help but keep thinking we were a pawn in this whole game. Not to mention the deal with the Twitter followers. I know that's giving Woodward team a lot of credit. We just took false hope info and ran with it.

Petersen would've been announced already. That would be a grand slam hire, he's not currently coaching, and there would be absolutely no logical reason to keep it a secret.
Looks like Scott shot his wad completely on Riley and now he's gonna have to fall back. Hopefully Aranda or Rhule. If it's Jimbo, I think there will be arson.

Petersen has the personality of a dentist. I am not sure he’s the grand slam hire you think.

Just maybe the whole thing was a bunch of propaganda. Maybe the posters with "inside ties" are actually users, with more than one handle, whose "job" it is to muddy the water and create excitement.

Petersen has never left the Pacific Northwest. He loves that part of the country. He likes mountains, skiing, etc. When he was at Boise State he turned down so many top tier jobs, including USC, Michigan, etc. Watch interviews from his time at Boise State and Washington. He's not coming to trashy Baton Rouge
