LOL Kirby a superior coach. Not even Les Miles would fake a punt at 4th and 11 to go with Bama in fake punt defense formation.

Kirby found a way to score more points in that game than we have in the past 3 years combined

It doesn’t matter how many points Kirby scored, the coaching decision he made in the sec title game cements him as a full fledged idiot until he proves me otherwise

Agree. I like what Kirby is doing at UGA but I've yet to see what makes him Superior to Orgeron. Last I checked we beat the brakes of UGA. Now I get 1 game doesn't decide such things but coupled with other dumb things Kirby has done it counts. He's had Bama on the ropes 2 seasons in a row and blew it. Also has a blowout loss to each of the last 2 seasons. An elite coach that does not make.

So somebody wants one of our DB recruits so they're selling them on Raymond not being here. Saw this play last year with Surtain.

I honestly could see him leaving if it is

Georgia he becomes Co-DC and all the added stuff like S mentioned

versus

LSU - just DBs coach, as well as having Bill Busch at safeties, which I think was a bad call on O's part said it when he was hired.

I think LSU will need to obviously offer him more money, he is worth it, as well as if Tommie Robinson leaves which I think is becoming more and more likely from what I hear, and bump Raymond's title up to what he has in Assistant Head Coach.

If their are any two coaches that are not OC/DC on LSU's staff as position coaches, they are Karl Dunbar DL, and Corey Raymond DBs.

Lol "lateral move" When is the last time LSU played in 2 straight SEC Championships and went to the playoffs?

Not about the team dumbass. It's a lateral move if he does to be DB coach

but Kirby is not a superior coach Than O? Yes he is

I said as much in my reply. That was not the premise.

So a playoff appearance, and SEC title all in 3 years times means nothing to you due to one poor decision?

Every coach has made a stupid choice before. That’s why you judge them on the entire work they’ve done.

So you think it was a bad move to hire a coach that improved us from not being able to make turnovers to becoming one of the best at it?

Seriously, I love Raymond but I have on good authority Dave Aranda wouldn’t agree to the long term deal unless he got to pick his safeties coach because he didn’t like what has happening back there.

I think it paid dividends

Rant sleuths also don’t realize Raymond and Busch were together at Utah State.

You're absolutely correct. Also, is there even any truth to whole idea that Raymond got butthurt about hiring a safety coach?

Hell if he went LSU to UGA to be DB coach, I'm not entirely sure that would be a lateral move either.

really dude... One school pays just as much as the other.. LSU prob more because Oregeron takes less... and LSU is known as "DBU" in which he has been the DB coach for years.. . only way he goes is if its for DC, and he aint getting a DC job in the SEC unproven unless its like Missouri or Vandy or something...

Most people expect UGA to hire Schumann from within as the DC. This would allow UGA to double Corey Redmond's salary if he came to UGA. I'm not saying it's going to happen by any stretch but if we do promote him then we could, theoretically double his salary.

Just because you hire from within, doesn't allow you to not pay him properly and have money left for Raymond's pay to be doubled.

Raymond would be a slam dunk hire, but I highly doubt Kirby can pull it off.

That dude is as elite as it comes as a DB coach, and is at his alma mater that happens to be the premier DB pipeline in all of college football.

I’m not saying O is better. However, Kirby has had poor coaching decisions in the big games he’s been in during his short time as h.c.

He has arguably the top qb in the sec, yet he sits him almost every first down during the sec championship game for a unproven freshman that hasn’t accomplished anything. Fakes a telegraphed punt, fakes the fg against LSU, and tried to sit on a halftime lead against bama in the n.c. Game. Didn’t try to throw the ball at all.

What he has done is recruit lights out.

LSU would just hire Ron Cooper as the corner coach
