like what Kirby is doing at UGA but I've yet to see what makes him Superior to Orgeron.

He won the SEC last year, played for the title this year. Played in the NC last year, almost made the playoffs again this year. Some of you are just downright retarded when it comes to trying to make O look good.

This is the same superior coach that lost to LSU?

Just because you hire from within, doesn't allow you to not pay him properly and have money left for Raymond's pay to be doubled.

He's making $325,000 so if he makes 800K that will still leave 700k compared to last year. They aren't going to pay Schumman 1.5mil as a first year DC.

I'm guessing he will take a coordinator position over remaining DB coach.
Plus you get to be mentored by Smart who kind of runs the defense like Saban did.
That would be a good position to eventually use as a stepping stone to become a head coach one day.

If that's the case, I sure hope we don't lose Stingley and that might push Fulton out as well if he can get healthy before NFL combines and such.

UGA's recruiting has been phenomenal and they will be in the hunt for the playoff for the forseeable future. They aren't going to hire a guy with no previous DC experience because he can recruit.

They might if Kirby is the one who'll actually be coordinating the defense.

It is possible. The Busch hire was not a good move and Raymond would like a better opportunity and some respect. The secondary was dominant before Busch. O is not the easiest or best to work for

Nah. He might if he gets passed up again. But I think he's been promised something if Aranda leaves.

So give the DC job to Raymond and then tell him he's too incompetent to run it...

Kirby hasn't proven a fricking thing at Georgia except he can win a shitty division and choke against the good teams he plays

It works more often than you think. And it would be more along the lines of "we'll name you DC and groom you for the job until you're completely ready".

Some of the shite people come up with then convince themselves of is funny. This is a big time DC job and you think Kirby is willing to “groom” Raymond for it? Kirby doesn’t yet have the kind of pull Saban has.

I agree that is silly but you comparing the pull Saban has to Kirby is not germane to this discussion. Compare the pull Kirby has to O right now.

It's funny to me that you think this stuff doesn't happen.

Yeah, you're right. He's willing to do it for a guy on staff who's younger but not for someone with way more coaching experience.

If you're talking about at UGA, then bullshite. If you're saying he can't convince guys to come in and be "quality control" guys and work your way up then yeah, I'd agree somewhat. We've taken some former coaches and gotten them into those positions but not the big names like Saban.

He is actually on my short list for DC if Aranda leaves. Busch was brought in for something. LSU has got to figure they cant hold on to both of them forever.

Did you just make all of this up? How do you know what Corey wants? Unless you're Corey or his wife you pulled it right out of your arse.
