I'd be very surprised if Brian Kelly was picked. He is from the Big East, which we've been there done that. And he has made some public comments regarding race in the past and with UofM being a very pro affirmative action school, I doubt they go down that road. Won't go after Harbaugh since as I've said in another post he's burnt every bridge between Palo Alto and Ann Arbor with alumni, former players, and administration.

BK and Harbaugh
not michigan men, and are not what UM claims to want after rich rod
plus harbaugh burned his bridges. he's a fan choice, but i doubt the dept wants him

Had heard this and was aware of the contentious environment. However, did not know specifics.
More Detail?
Thanks.

one thing was coming out and talking shite about UM athletic academics. that's a big no-no at UM

But not as big of a No/No as NCAA sanctions.

big les would never do that, if anything, big les has always shown love for his alma mater.

Harbaugh had made public comments about Michigan lowering it's academic standards to get less academically but more athletically talented people on the team. It pissed off the administration here because we hold ourselves to a standard of excellence in academics. Mike Hart went off on him in a presser (but he always sort of ran his mouth so thats not surprising) Pissed off alum and students for obvious reasons. And it caused his friendship between him and Jamie Morris (who works in the AD's office) to end. Unless he comes begging for forgiveness of shards of broken glass, I doubt very seriously the university would give him the time of day.

Thanks UM2007.
I assume that's the year you graduated. Good luck in whatever field you choose to pursue.

OK, speculate on these what-ifs:
(1) If LSU's 2009 team had Michigan's offensive players and RR as OC........would LSU be better than 8-2?
Or........
(2) If LSU's 2009 team had RR as OC coaching the players Les recruited.........would LSU be better than 8-2?
And finally.......
Would Jarrett Lee be a better QB if RR were his OC?

quote:But that's not the point-Rich Rod should have made the best of what he had & ran an offense with the current roster in mind, and 'eventually' switch his offense, after a few recruiting classes. Instead, the idiot has thrown away two whole seasons to basically start from scratch. Now he is one season away from getting his arse canned...
Yes lets bring the guy who ran off Ryan Mallett...great idea
Yeah, Ryan Mallett is the quintessential spread option quarterback. With his 5.5 speed and awesome moves, I'm sure he would have left every defender flopping around on the field with broken ankles.

exactly. thank you. why are we supposed to have patience when he clearly didn't??
