Texas, Florida, and Michigan all run the "spread"...I would take the UT/UF version. Would hate to see the Michigan/WVU version here, but I have to say Shep does seem like the perfect RR qb...hopefully Shep can throw better than Pat White.

LSU-------2010 recruiting class: 23 with 3.65 avg. star rating.

Michigan--2010 recruiting class: 20 with 3.05 avg. star rating.

Miles isn't giving up LSU's recruiting program for Michigan's.

As long as Miles keeps getting 90% of the blue-chip in-state talent, Miles is untouchable and bullet proof.

Supposedly Mike Wilbon told Kornheiser on his radio show that he heard from a good source that both weiss and rod were done. Should get real interesting around here in the next couple of weeks.

Maybe Miles will refuse to hire RR as OC, then whine about it when he gets fired. Gosh, that sounds familiar.

The latest article on RR would have a little more credibility if the author knew the difference between 'fazed' and 'phased'

It might not have phased Michigan? Well, gee, I hope not!

He will be our OC next season. Book it.

where do yall get this from? an upper echelon head coach is not going to come to LSU to be an OC, its a complete downward move.

Look at what he did at West Virginia, its not like he wont find a job as a HC at a big time program. His 2 years at Michigan will be forgiven should he get canned, schools will focus on his years at WVU and pay him a shite ton of money.

I dont even like the guy, but I still think hes one of the better coaches out there.

I said it before, I'll say it again:

quote:

I, for one, would not want DickRod associated with LSU in any capacity. If things actually worked out at OC, how long before our idiot percentage of fans would want to elevate him to HC? He didn't give 2 shits whether he was bringing in "high character" guys or not while at WVU (PacMan, Chris Henrry anyone?) and he showed a level of "loyalty" rivaled only by Saban's...

Welcome to ThugU Baton Rouge. Rodriguez couldn't keep his "high character" guys out of trouble in a town of 55,000 people. I'm sure he'd do a better job here.

Yes this is kind of my point...his offense is gimmicky and better suited for upstarts and wannabes like WV

Interesting how fans pick one game to identify a coach. In his loss to Pitt, wasn't their quarterback injured?

RR could just as well be remembered for the win over SEC Champ Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. That was the Georgia team that kicked our butt in the SEC Championship when JR and Flynn were leading us.

Have any of you guys watched UM this year? Their defense is atrocious but the offense is pretty good and very balanced.

Another day, another dose of speculation regarding RR.

quote:

According to his contract, Rodriguez can be fired for cause if the NCAA, the Big Ten or the school determines he has committed a major violation of NCAA rules or he has intentionally committed any other type of violation of NCAA rules.

If the school completes a four-step process to fire Rodriguez for cause, it "shall be without liability to Rodriguez," according to the contract he signed Oct. 24, 2008.

For the person who thinks it wasn't a bad move for RR to leave WV for Mich., maybe he should have taken the Alabama job when he had the chance the year before. His style would have been much more suited there. And just think, Saban may be at WV right now. Could've happened.

They will give him 1 more year, but the fans want him gone now.
