You mean like when he went 12-0 as OC of TULANE in 1998?
HC and OC are different positions.

1. RR sucks
2. Crowton is being handcuffed by Miles
I have not been happy at all with Crowton this year but the guy from 2007 still has to be there somewhere right?
At least with GC we can conceivably recruit any player in the country. RR's offense automatically eliminates a ton of talent from the equation. We don't need anything to do with any offense that can't use Ryan Mallett.

What the hell is your problem?

Yes this is kind of my point...his offense is gimmicky and better suited for upstarts and wannabes like WV not big time programs like Michigan and hopefully LSU.
Florida is definitely too good for his offense

I can understand the recruiting aspect. But Crowton has proved throughout his history that he is a one year wonder at OC. I can't say that enough, it's proven, it's there, look it up, see it and believe it.
RR has not proven himself as a HC in the bigger scheme of things, but at this stage he is the better OC. By a large margin. And honestly, I care less about putting players in the NFL than I do about LSU having a great college offensive scheme.
Not many NFL teams run the spread option, but that hasn't stopped Florida from being a few wins away from winning 3 of 4 NCs.

true, but his system seems to complicated for them to learn, or, he's drawing plays on a napkin...i don't really know, all i know is that our offense looks like they are trying to read a portugese dictionary..

Opposing defenses know the offense better than our team does.

I was waiting for the Florida references
Meyer's spread is considerably different than RR's isn't it?

not really. fundamentally they're the same. spread option based on the zone read

RR was an innovator of that offense. Florida has run it with success, why wouldn't Florida get mentioned?
You want me to mention Crowton with the Bears? Or his final 4 years at BYU? RR's offense even in his 2nd year and losing record as HC at UM is putting up much better numbers than Crowton at LSU.
RR's offense and RR as OC > Crowton's offense and Crowton as OC.
The only thing still left up for debate is whether RR will end up being a good HC or like Crowton.

Meyer definitely involves the passing game more than RR's though.
Enough to allow Alex Smith to be the #1 pick in the draft and have 2 wr's get drafted on the first day last year. The difference is that Meyer's offense is attractive to the harvin's and dubose's of the world...RR's, not so much.

Crowton better than Rodriguez.....I actually laughed out loud. They're not in the same class. If we could get RR and drop Crowton, that would be unbelievable. I wouldn't want RR as the head coach, but as the OC with Chavis, we would have top notch coordinators. Won't happen but would be real cool.
Now I'm just going to be disappointed when it doesn't happen.

ncaa violations and we are discussing him at LSU...he is the last thing we need

Tim, hopefully our players aren't big enough pussies to report him for making them practice too much.

Having Tim Tebow helps a lot.

OC's should stop the other team from scoring.
