I feel like it has to be Deboer at this point. It doesn't make sense to still be waiting if it's not.

If Bama were screwed so hard and so late in portal I wonder if theyd beg Saban to return for a year or two.

Been following this one and their plan was basically deboer if bama lost to OU and they had no backup plan

Look, I want Indiana to beat Alabama as bad anybody out there. But i will not be surprised in the least bit if Alabama beats them. In fact I expect it. It won’t be a blowout but until a team that has never had success before can prove they can do it on the big stage then I’m going to go with the most successful football program in college history to win.

They do not have good coaches interested in the job. Michigan must clean house in the Athletic Department, starting with the AD.
Once that happens, then you will have a legitimate shot at a legitimate coach.

I'd very much like this to be true and see Bama get fricked this late in the coaching change cycle.
But why would Deboer take the Michigan job? Their athletic department is a complete disaster right now and who knows what investigations might turn up. They've had black eye after black eye to their image the past few years. And even with all this turmoil, if he doesn't make the playoffs at Michigan and gets embarrassed by Ohio State, the UM fans will be calling for his job there too.
