Why would a program as prominent as Tennessee go after a guy (smart) with zero head coaching experience?
(I'm assuming Smart has never been a head coach)

LSUTIger in TExas, you are thinking of Mike Stoops. There are like brothers and Brothers of Stoops, Bob, Mike and Mark that I know of. and Mark Stoops is the Defensive Coordinator under Jimbo at FSU. I think Mike may be back with Bob at Okie. Anyway it was Mike that was the failure at Arizona. Mark on the other hand may be a good hire.
