With the money that LSU is currently paying Gary Crowton, we should be able to land one of the best OCs in the country. It isn't that hard. You rank every OC in the country, start at the top and move your way down. All of this talk about "who's available" and all of that doesn't matter. You offer to pay the people more than they are making now. There can't be that many OCs making more than Crowton.

If we don't do this, we are selling ourselves short. In fact, this is what we did with our last head coach hiring process and why we have Les Miles as our coach.

We need to open up the checkbook and take away the best OC that our money can buy, no exceptions.

And how does this relate to us finding a new OC?

You said rank them. Those rankings can change fast.

I'll go ahead and start it off.

1. Sean Payton - Makes less than Miles, and we could give him both Miles and Crowton's salary.

Are you sure about that?

This was last year, so I'm sure it's about the same.

1. Mark Whipple
2. Mark Whipple
3. Mark Whipple

This should be Miles' top 3 list. Go look up his history. He's got a better track record than Kragthorpe.
