This is reason #1 he shouldn’t have been loaned out to ole miss. He does well on the national stage without Kiffin and he never makes it here.
Well y’all said he was a puppet oc anyway, amirite?

Let’s get this straight ,Lane is LSUs offense just like Nick was ALAs defense.Weis can do what he wants it won’t effect us whatsoever.

Pretty much every Ole Miss fan including on here said this guy sucks as an OC and LSU would regret it. Now they in love with him.

His stock will be up so he might get a job decent p4 next cycle but the idea that Kiffin will fall apart without him is pretty farcical.

I think if he leaves to be a HC his buy out is less.

he'll owe a 7.5m buyout if he leaves before April 2026. Assuming that buyout drops to 5m after April.
I am sure that buyout is voided if he leaves for a higher job status AKA, head coaching job. That is standard with all assistant coaches contracts.

OM twitters are also saying he threatened that if he couldn’t coach throughout the playoffs he’d resign with OM.
Because Ole Miss fans are idiots. Ole Miss has already hired an OC.

Why was ole miss so quick to promote Golding
Why not hire Weis
Why not hire Weis

Nowhere to go at this point. I could see him leaving after a successful first year with us though.

Ole Miss doesn’t ever post anything believable

This might be exactly what’s to come and Weis Jr. is hedging his future by coaching through the CFP.
He and Lane do well at LSU over the next 3 yrs. Golding is shown the door. OM fan base remembers that Weis Jr. stuck it out with them and all of this makes it easy to welcome him back as head coach.
Genius move by Weis Jr. imo.

Nobody is taking a chance on Weis as an HC except maybe ? Some G5 program.
He's done nothing notable. His draw to us is that he can call Lanes offense really well. Hes a really good playcaller, but its not his system .

The buyout is only if he leaves for another OC job, there’s no buyouts for coordinators moving up to Head Coaches
Can anybody confirm if this is true?

They've convinced themselves that Kiffin was the result of all the problems they had offensively, and Weiss was the genius all along.

I don't understand why they didn't hire him in the first place.

He’s coaching Kiffins team with Kiffins offense. Don’t be silly.
