IMO this is a good hire for Arkansas. Dude has deep ties in Texas for recruiting which is very important for the razorbacks to be successful long term.
He has the recruiting connections to make it a long term success if he can put a competitive product on the field quickly.
The SEC west sure has stepped up the level of coaches here this off-season. Will be interesting over the next few years to watch this all unfold.

SEC was down this year, but for the most part a lot of good hires are being made. The thing is someone has to lose the games, but I think A&M & Arky, even if they don't quite the win totals immediately, are gonna be fielding legitimate top 25 teams again.
