Will win 8/9 games consistantly in a couple years
Couple years? Hell, Bret would have had a chance at 8 or 9 wins next season.
10 starters back on offense
7 starters back on defense
OOC Schedule
@Colorado State
Eastern Illinois
North Texas
Tulsa
SEC Schedule
@Auburn
aTm
Alabama
Ole Miss
Vanderbilt
LSU
@State
@Missouri
6 wins is very attainable in his first season. Can he win more than 2 SEC games in his first season? Winnable SEC games seem to be State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Vandy...aTm likely a toss up...Alabama, LSU, Auburn likely losses. Could he win 4 SEC games next year? Maybe...not sure...but his win total in his first season may be surprising. With Michigan pulling out of their games we had schedule, he doesn't have to deal with a P5 OOC game.

2 completely opposite styles of offense. It will take a couple seasons for Morris to get the players that fit his system. You are going to have to be patient with Morris and if you are you will be really happy with the results
I think very highly of Chad Morris. He's a winner if you give him time

I think Arkansas went about this hire in very workman like fashion. Looks like as solid of a hire as you can expect.
Don’t bring that Lane Train crap in here.

There really shouldn't be much of an issue on offense. We have twenty billion WR's on roster, and crap ton of TE's. Whaley, Hayden, & Hammonds return at RB. The only thing really missing is his zone read style of QB. Kelley can run a bit, but not like he used at SMU. I think Kelley will be serviceable enough for Morris to work with though in year 1. I am also of the opinion we had a very shitty OL coach. Sucks for me to say that because Im friends with the guy, but he is set in his ways and just wasn't a good coach. Technique was terrible. There was such a drop off in coaching from when Pitman left it was laughable watching footwork this year. 4/5 starter return on the OL and I expect there to be a clean slate for those Bret didn't care for. I think we will finally see the emergence of Jalen Merrick. A highly touted OL from 3 classes ago thats continually been in Brets doghouse for his loyalty to Pitman.
The issue is going to be on the defensive side of the ball. The secondary and LBs should be solid. The issue is going to be up front and if Morris wants to stick to the 3-4 or go back to the 4-3 with these guys.

Im not saying "If he doesn't win 7-9 games next year I want him gone." I am saying the cupboard isn't bare. It isn't bare like when Petrino came in his first year and implemented his system. Petrino didn't have a serviceable QB on roster and had to ride with Casey Dick in year one. Morris has a couple 4* QBs on roster he can choose from when he gets here. We all saw Cole Kelley this year. Kelley actually performed better when we went into the hurry up no huddle, IMO.

He will have 4 to 5 years unless something putrid happens.

He was down on my list, but I will get behind him.
He has the keys needed to succeed here. His Texas high school career really does open a lot of doors in Texas recruiting for us again.
We produce some decent running backs and WR's in state.
The SEC draw will bump his recruiting #'s.
He seems to be good at the X's and O's of offense.
He showed a willingness to change to win going to Gus.
His high school record was damn good.
His major was mathematics. Hopefully that makes him anal and nit picky about things such as technique.
Any dumbass knows you have to have a defense to compliment the O
I am cautiously optimistic. I know somebody has to lose though.

Why did Bert not fire Kurt if he was so bad?

Names were too close together. He thought it a bad omen. Little did he know.....
Seriously, he is loyal to his guys.

Thank Wayne Huizenga (Former owner of the Miami Dolphins) for Saban. He wasn't leaving LSU to coach at Alabama..............

The Morris PC is amazing and its pissing me off.
I just wished these clowns would have left him alone, but he had to do it.
