but it hurts recruiting to lose him now.

Signing day is early this year?

Guess I missed the change... look, Ryan P. was a verbal to Texas and Drake Nevis was a verbal to Old Mrs's.
No one is going to any school till after signing day.

IMO, the only way to avoid the media storm is for Skip to offer Les a NC $$$ right after the SECCG. Get us to the title shot, and you've earned your money and an affirmation will let everyone focus on the business at hand or move on to the next phase and re-focus with weeks between SECCG and MNC.

John Clayton was just on ESPN radio and he said that he is hearing Petrino will be interested in the LSU job if Miles leaves. Says the Falcons will be a disaster for a long time.

I don't want Petrino. He's another game player much like Saban. Let's keep Les!!!

So, why not Crowton? He has head coaching experience, he won at BYU and LaTech, not exactly bastions of football greatness. He is widely considered an offensive genius and has an almost unlimited talent base to pick from and could get a good DC and let him take care of that side. Why wouldn't he be a good choice?

I just don't see Miles not getting an offer. And if he doesn't, it'd be a tragedy(maybe a very small, minor tragedy but a tragedy nonetheless...well maybe tragedy isn't the right word but you get the picture)in my opinion.

He's a Michigan man if there ever was one. I don't think there has ever been a more qualified person for that job.

Let LES go LSU can do much better anyway! Bring on the best ball coach in the land Steve Spurrier! Let the score fest begin!

Les Miles is 32-5 in three years at LSU with three more games to go. This is the best three years in LSU history. We've got the best we've ever had. Steve Spurrier is not the same as he was in the 1990's at Florida. Defenses have changed and are much faster now. When he came onto the scene, the game was different than it is now. Spurrier is a great coach but I don't want to go after a 60 something year old coach that will only be here for another three years.

Let's Keep Les!!!!! We have many more Miles to go with him!!
