No Slow, I don't believe that he is a genius, I was making fun of the post above me talking about Bob McConnell. But I do think that Bo Pelini is someone that should be considered.

dude, seriously you cant tell they are messing with you? come on

and sure Pelini would be seamless, but why are we settling for a coordinator promotion when you can have a proven head coach take over? How do you know Pelini is capable of being a head coach?

and if it is for the players, well guess what, the players will all be gone in four years anyway.

Pointless discussion. Boring. And not funny, ironic, or even very good sarcasm.

If Miles leaves, LSU will NOT hire an asst. at another school (i.e., Fisher, Muschamp, etc.) They MIGHT take a hard look at the coordinators on staff (Pelini and Crowton.)

Saban is not a realistic possibility. Spurrier or Tuberville probably aren't either. An NFL coach like Petrino or Del Rio probably aren't very likely either. Look at the LSU blueprint ... whom did they hire last time ... Les Miles -- a successful D-1 head coach. That leads me to speculate that IF Miles leaves, the next coach will be a current D-1 coach, like Pinkel, Grobe, Leavitt, Tedford, D'Antonio. Don't laugh, but names like Skip Holtz and Larry Blakeney (Troy coach) could pop up, as could possibly Schiano and the Boston College coach.

Great response BigJ, you have proved my point, you are a retard. Instead of posting childish emoticons, how about you give an intelligent response? Or is your TT brain too small and that's how they taught you at TT, with pictures?

This will be the third different person doing the hiring for LSU over the last three hires (Saban, Miles, ____) . There is no blueprint.

there is only one guarantee in life, we will all be dead one day

so yeah, there is no guarantee he could be successful here

but it is a good start if he won somewhere else as a HC

Talked with one of my counterparts in Toledo, Oh which is 50 miles from ann arbor, and they all feel that miles is the closet thing to a bo clone, talks, walks, mannerisms, and even wears his hat kinda like bo, however there is a distinct base according to my counterpart that want to go in a new direction and hire a coach perhaps from the popular mac conf or cincinnati which is a place that many famous big ten coaches started. Brian Kelly imo will be the next hire at Mich if miles is not offered the job.

Hmmmm. I posted this in another thread. It got deleted. I dont know if it was because it should have been posted here of it for whatever reason I'm not allowed to say it. I'll take my chances and post it again here.

Anyways, I heard from an aTm fan that Spurrier has a deal in principle with aTm, but he will wait to see how the LSU job plays out before accepting the aTm gig. Any thoughts on this?

P.S. I havent been here long (or havent been posting long anyway)...I just dont know why my other post got deleted. I'm hoping it was because it should have been posted here. I dont want to be banned...lol.

Agreed with Miles or Kelly but inside sources close to the program also are including Bob McConnell as a dark horse candidate

Did you mean to say TUBERVILLE instead of Spurrier? Because I can't see any way Spurrier leaves SC for College Station. It would be a step down. I mean, it's a step down for Tuberville, too, but he at least has ties there.

Nope. I definitely meant Spurrier. Everyone has heard the Tubby rumors....this one was new to me though.
