You’re a fricking moron if you don’t think Lane would leave the SEC to go back to the PAC. Especially at this point in his career.

Confirming @johncanzanobft's report. @oregonfootball is making a hard push to bring back Chip Kelly as the Ducks' head coach, sources tell ESPN. He has a lot of support there after taking Oregon to the national championship game in 2010. His buyout at UCLA is $9 million.

UCLA could have hired Scott Frost for $5 million a year four years ago. They hired Chip Kelly for less. $5 million was way to rich for their blood.

There is no world where a poorly funded [from boosters] Public University in California is coming up with $9 million or more to outspend Ole Miss for Lane Kiffin.

Hell, UCLA wouldn't come up with even $6 million to have Nick Saban as their coach.

Well, if there's mutual interest, Kelly's one of the few people that probably would see Oregon as a destination instead of a stepping stone. Don't think he'd leave them twice.

UCLA will likely replace Kelly with Brady Hoke from San Diego State. Hoke is making $1 million a year at SDSU.

UCLA will likely pay him $3 million and be happy to save $1.66 million off the [previously] highest paid football coach in school history.

The school literally gave free tickets to UCLA students for anyone who wanted to attend the LSU game just to get a decent sized crowd in the Rose Bowl. My understanding is this year's UCLA / USC game had a physical attendance of less than 40,000. This was the rivalry game in the best season for UCLA in over a decade.

Hoke is going to ditch SDSU twice? That’s rude

Why would he go to the pac 12? He’s got it made at ole miss and a chance to compete against the best teams in the country every year. He’s winning at ole miss and they love him.

Wouldn't that seem odd?

I hope this is all smoke and mirrors. On a positive note Chip Kelly is good enough to keep Oregons foot on Udubs neck and keep a hold of the Pac 12 North. Anything more than that is anyone's guess.

To be fair, iirc, most students weren't on campus yet. At the same time I know their crowds are terrible.

If Oregon has interested Lane Kiffin on deck and hire Justin Wilcox, they are big dummies.
