I hope that recruits that happen upon this board choose to see the passion behind our fans versus the intellectual decision to post things out of anger because they didn't get their way.

I wonder how many people negatively commenting on the coaching search have ever been in charge of something similar...overseeing a multi-million dollar entity where every decision is critiqued by media, fans, peers, bosses, etc....My money would be on <1%. I'd venture to say that nobody here knows the whole truth behind the scenes and nor should they.

Everyone has opinions and the passion behind them is what makes sports the greatest pastime in the country. However, a "fan" would trust the decision, hope for the best and continue support through thick and thin.

I love LSU and will support the coaches and players that choose to be here. Things don't always work out the way you want, but at the end of the day, it's football. A game. Entertainment.

I choose to believe that there are tens of thousands who think the same way as I do and just don't subject themselves to the negativity that so often is seen on this board.

Good luck to Coach O and staff (whoever they may be) and good luck to the players this year and years to come.

This is so stupid. It's not 1960 anymore. College Football is a big business and people are shelling out tons of cash each year for 6-7 home games. The fans are more invested today than at any other time in history.

Kick rocks dickbag.

False. Look back over all the names that were thrown out on this board last week for an example of all the options that would satisfy most.

Be prepared for the "you're part of the problem" crowd.

I agree with this entire post.

But ya know, fans knows best.

I will always cheer for LSU and hope for it's success. But I'm gonna stop paying money to an organization that wastes it on good ol' boy style kickbacks to their buddies instead of striving for excellence.

I don't think that is true.

I believe if Coach O made a good hire that the majority of people would be okay.

For better or worse I think that Coach O is directly linked the the vast majority of peoples disdain for Joe Alleva.

Speaking from my own perspective, I will admit I likely can't judge Coach O fairly with Alleva being the AD because I think he is an idiot. So anything O does in a negative light for the program will be magnified because of my dislike of Alleva.

Edit: I hope for the best, but I believe with Alleva leading the charge the football program is doomed to suffer.

You understand that you don't have to be a high level thinking NFL GM to recognize that hiring Orgeron and then letting this OC debacle happen isn't exactly what's best for a supposed top tier college football program don't you?

Let's see it play out.

But most ppl on here would rather see 10 people at the games to send a message and never get behind the plan at all.

Lot of ppl were excited about Cam Cameron....maybe the Rant doesn't know all.

I hope recruits don’t hold Os feet to the fire when he promised to hire the best coordinators and win championships fast.

That seems to be the theme of Ed O’s new Offensive staff too

9-4 is not a dumpster fire. 8 wins or less next year and you can claim that.

It’s all too transparent. We hired a buffoon who is literally sinking the program at an alarming rate.

9-4 with losses to Troy and the worst loss in history to Miss State and the HC running off the OC is a dumpster fire
