He has put 8 QBs in NFL, including 3 1st rounders.

Yep...he has an average recruiting ranking of #5 over the last 5 years, FAR ahead of everyone else in the conference...yet he has lost 7 games in 2 years....he won with crab legs....just like chiz won with cam. Chiz developed a heisman qb and won a nc too....hmmmmm

Uh yeah

LSU would be lucky for the next coach to have the success of Miles

My point being miles went downhill. Fisher is already showing signs of that as well.

Maybe a new challenge is what he needs

Same with Miles

He has the resume

Florida State in Bobby Bowden's last four seasons looked a lot like Mack Brown's last years at Texas:
7-6
7-6
9-4
7-6
Fisher took over and has gone:
10-4
9-4
12-2
14-0
13-1
10-3

Much better than what happened at Texas the past 3 years.

You keep saying "crab legs" like Winston was going to walk in and win a Heisman no matter where he played. Give Fisher some credit- he recruited him, developed him, and surrounded him with well coached talented players.

76-17, 4 conference championships, a playoff appearance and BCS Title. Anybody else out there that we can get have those kind of stats.

(I know Les had a good record, but he had slipped to like .500 or below against the West in the last 5 years).

Also has had multiple QB's taken early in the draft. And in 2004, he went 9-2 with Marcus Randall at QB.

possibly Herman has already told LSU he isnt interested???

Doubt it, even if he isn't interested, he could still at least use LSU to get a bigger check wherever he does end up at,

That would be an option as well if he's interested (I don't think he is because he wants to prove himself in the NFL), but that is still only two names. Jimbo has allegedly also shown interest in the job so I think that's why he's the frontrunner right now.

Find a viable replacement with a better resume.

I'll wait.

with Herman off the board apparently and Orgeron no longer a viable option, I just really like Fleck. Just has way more upside than Fisher and could give Saban a run for the money, where as you really can't say that about Fisher. I know Fisher is the safer pick, but hopefully he stays at Florida St. I just would like a coach that brings excitement back to LSU football once again and who gives us a real shot at knocking the midget off the top of the mountain.

All winston did is jack crab legs. So what? Nfl teams checked his background and had no issues. Thats the nfl podnuh, if he did bad shite they wouldnt have drafted him top two.

Mettenberger did worse, nobody here cared.

you make a lot of good points by just stating the obvious.

Fisher just has way to many parallels to Chizick and Miles for me. Combine those two and you have Fisher.

Miles has as good a resume as well. Resumes are not the be all, end all, of hiring the next great coach for LSU.
