I’m sure he’d like to observe the team in person, but I have no idea what the rule is there.

Sure but Davis is the head coach from the press conference. Kelly really should use the time to get to know the returning players in the bowl setting.

As in is there a rule against him being on the sidelines? You know there is no such rule.

CBK is the head football coach of the LSU Tigers and can be on the field if chooses.

He can coach if he wants to. Cutcliffe coached Ole Miss in our bowl game against Nebraska after Tubberville left

Relax bro. I said I didn’t know if there was a rule or policy about interim coaches and newly hired coaches both being on the field. Simple question.

Why would CBK be on the field that’s completely stupid! I have seen a newly hired coach up in a booth or luxury suite watching the game. What the heck..
I swear you people will never give anyone a break

NCAA has a limit in terms of coaches on the sidelines/ or total amount of. According to Davis he’s moved 2 analyst into field positions. So maybe Coach Kelly can be an analyst (for this game). lol

Not sure about any rule for new coaches but there are rules for the number of active coaches on the sideline and booth...

I've seen newly hired coaches on the field several times - It's not something that's unprecedented, including for Kelly.

He can coach if there’s agreement with the AD.

Kelly said in his presser HE has to get the team ready for the bowl game. He may not coach it but he'll have influence.

In regards to the OP's question. Some of you need to remember that some fans are new to this football stuff and do not have the experience of following a team for decades. They aren't stupid. They just lack knowledge.
