, lets keep it in context! Your argument is that SE needs All Americans and all NFL talent to be successful. Ok, got it
Can't stop misrepresenting can you. That's ok. I expect by now.

ben why did you go from saying you expected us to move on from Steve a few weeks ago to knighting for him now
I think that the general consensus is that they're adding somebody. I wonder if that person will be calling plays from the start. I don't call myself knighting for Steve. Whether I agreed with his hiring or not is immaterial. He was hired. Do we not feel that he deserves a chance to be successful?

He had it, and he failed.
Sucks, but it is what it is. Orgeron shouldn't have put him in that spot to start with if he couldn't find a way to make it work.
I'm personally hoping Hugh Freeze is the choice, as the other two 'home run' hires are apparently unavailable.

I bet it's going to be a younger guy. When it comes out it'll probably be a total surprise. I wonder about Tee Martin.

Link?
I can give you a few examples I'm aware of:
1) Spurrier implemented fun-n--gun in his first year ('90) at UF. I don't think Shane Mathews had many starts under his belt and Emmitt Smith left for the NFL the year before. I don't think UF in '90 had any better talent than we do.
2) Croutons in '07 did a lot more here than did Jimbo and with a patchwork OL, WR corps, and new OL, WR coaches. That offense was amazing.
3) Freeze at OM in '12 with Bo Wallace (2*JUCO) transfer.

Damnit. I saw this thread blew up from last night so I came in hoping we have a juicy update from TBL.
What a disappointment to see it's just BenC shitting up the place.

I don't think Ben C is shitting up the place, but he is "White Knighting" for Ensminger!

You don't have to read or respond to any of my posts. I see that you added to the discussion with a quality post.

If anyone says this, they are completely wrong.
None of the changes that are coming will be shocking for anyone unless something beyond our control happens.
That’s not to say that the changes will not be significant in the long run of the program. One in particular is going to be very significant in a good way.

This is so fricking ironic coming from the guy who constantly replies to people and 90% of the time the response contains a personal insult with nothing of substance.

You’re never going to see an air raid offense at LSU. Running the ball will always be the first priority regardless of who is calling the shotsz

I was responding to a post that was nothing of substance. Just like your posts in this thread are nothing of substance.

I'm assuming that you know what's coming. Is the new co offensive coordinator being brought in to call plays or just help installing more spread concepts?

Agreed and I'm not in the camp of Kliff.
I want briles! Its a power spread attack that has balanced run/pass ratio. basically what SE is trying to do, but Briles is great at it.

At least I've brought actual facts into the discussion. You've brought nothing but your own idiotic opinion.

Yeah, the LSU admin almost made a huge mistake hiring this pass-first offensive coach back in the late 80s.
Dude's name was Spurrier. Glad LSU dodged that bullet..!
LSU was nearly a pass-first offense in 2017, if Tom Herman had chosen to come to LSU.

I'll also throw in Mike Bellotti replacing Crowton with an unknown guy from New Hampshire named Chip Kelly.
Oregon went from 7-6 in 2006 to breaking school records for total points and total offense in 2007. They got to #2 in the BCS until Dennis Dixon tore his knee up. Obviously, we know how Oregon continued on from there in subsequent years.
