IMO, I'd probably take a Big East job over Kentucky. Finding success at say a UConn and turning that into a bigger job is a lot more achievable than leading Kentucky to success considering the level of competition.

I don't know, with the playoffs and the what is going to happen with the big east and MWC becoming equals (I think SJSU is looking to join the MWC)he may be as well off to stay or try for an ACC, Colorado, or the Purdue job.

That's true. I forgot about the playoffs and how it might change things from so many angles.

Thought there was an ESPN article stating SEC schools made agreement, Petrino WOULD NEVER coach in the SEC again.

If any coach had reasons to be blackballed, it's Petrino.

Nope, Tucker is full of shite. Got this from a "suppose" agent out in the west coast.

Tucker actually gets pretty good info. It wouldn't surprise me that those guys said no (or at least not right now) given some of the other jobs they're being mentioned on. I know people at UK respect him far more then they do Matt Jones at this rate.

I agree on MacIntyre.

Something is going over Nutter. The neighbor said coaches cleared out and set up for a possible press conference. Could be happening, we will see.

Horrible source. If you know about Kentucky Athletics, you know Kyle Tucker is an idiot.

Saw on the news this morning that MacIntyre has denied being contacted by UK. That can only mean a press conference is imminent.

I've now seen tweets that everyone except Sonny Dykes is still in play from various sources. If anything, none of these guys know anything and with all of the bad info, it wouldn't surprise me if Dykes was announced. At this point I'm done with it until they announce someone. I am surprised at the lack of plane tracking going on this time around.

ETA:Tucker has now said things have changed and Stoops is "back" in play.

Kyle Tucker is a great beat writer, he's not an insider though. He's already backtracked and said Stoops is still in play.

Tucker is backtracking on twitter. " @KyleTucker_CJ: Certainly possible I got bad info on Stoops last night. If so, sincere apologies. Also possible things changed. Either way, Stoops in play. "

I'm all in on a Stoops/Neal Brown combo basically because UK is a destination job for Brown and could potentially set us up or many years to come.

If Mike Stoops couldnt win in Arizona, which has every advantage on Kentucky(Easier conference, facilities, expectations), why in the world would he win at Kentucky?

Apparently there's some hubbub that if Stoops is hired he's bringing FSU's OC with him. Something about issues over play-calling duties and Jimbo not giving them up.

41-50 record..Looks like a losing record to me..

Topped out at 8-5 twice, 7-6 once, 6-6 once, and 4 seasons with losing records at a much better football school in a weaker conference..I just dont see the infatuation.
