I’m hearing that the #Browns have strong interest in former #OhioState head coach Urban Meyer, per sources.

that would be a good spot for him if he's going to make the jump. they have talent, and can be a quick reclamation project.

The play calling with those skill players would be a lot of fun. I'd hope he would get a great DC in there and let them work.

All of those Jones/Garrett meetings are just facetiming Meyer with Garrett giving an ISIS hostage video performance of how great a job it is and how much he'll love it........no, really, it's awesome.

Then you see a wrinkly old hand on Garrett's shoulder..........awkwardly massaging it as Garrett fights back a grimace.

As a Browns fan I could 100% get on board with this. Listening to all the post season comments by veterans who never say anything, it sounds like the players are dying for leadership, structure and organization. If there’s one thing that Urban Meyer knows how to do, it’s build a culture of winning. He’s ran an empire like Ohio St and he knows how to structure a training camp. The Browns have tried coordinator after coordinator after coordinator. It’s time they hired somebody who’s been a head coach of something. Whether it’s college or pro, they just need somebody that’s not a rookie head coach. Urban Meyer is from th Cleveland area. Coaching the Browns would be the ultimate challenge. Maybe he has one last coaching job in him?

It would be a great get for the Browns. The fact still remains they’d need to improve the O-line to field a better team

Is there a reason we are assuming that Meyer would translate well to the NFL and not flop like Saban?

I think coaching style of Meyer would lend itself to the NFL better than Saban.

Saban tried dog cussing and dressing down these guys make a lot more money than him and it didn't work. Pros don't respond well to that shite.

Cleveland paper has an article on him today taking about his pre draft admiration for Baker, the fact that he is from Canton and with Dorsey now out of the way, he could be the guy so long as he can work with one of his personnel guys from New England.

McDaniels ain’t going there. He’s already turned them down last time around. He knows what Haslam is like.
