Of course a Mizzou fan would laugh at a program spending money to try and get better.

Falcons fans mentioned this when he was calling the hogs in the middle of the season. Sleep with gutter trash, literally, you get road rash.
As for the topic at hand, good for the Boilers, and good for Brohm. It's a winnable situation there for the foreseeable future, and it's a good place to hang out until a genuinely better job comes along. But I wouldn't be shocked to see Brohm stick around and really compete for a BIG title, either.

Actually it was tommy turtleneck.

Wrong. Jeff Brohm released a statement a little bit ago saying it was nothing AD Vince Tyra did
Yeah, you're right. Coaches always tell the truth in these situations. I mean Saban is still killing it with the Dolphins since he said he wasn't interested in the Bama job after all.

How much better of a job is Louisville? I'm not trying to be rude to our Lville posters, but I just really don't see much redeeming about that gig.

I mean we won 8 games in a far better division and only pay our coach a fraction of that.
Soooo, maybe Purdue is just desperate and a bunch of suckers?

And the UofL "fans" have gone full-retard.
Good grief

Trinity High School will be closed Thursday after a threat was made against the school. According to a release on the school's website, the threat was made "due to Jeff Brohm deciding to remain at Purdue." Brohm was a star quarterback at Trinity before playing at the University of Louisville and the NFL.
Good grief

Did that guy that poisoned Auburn's oak trees become a Louisville fan?

Might have Kelly Bryant, so who knows how next year will go

I’ve heard this from literally every fan base I can think of this week. Some Michigan State fan told me it was already a done deal yesterday.
Good luck with all that bling hope.

Odom inherited a way better situation than Brohm. Odom is also in year three while Brohm is in year two. Shitting on Purdue for only 6 wins is stupid.

The Press Conferences alone woukd be worth having Leach
Seriously though the lead candidate now appears to be Scott Satterfield. Not excited about that whatsoever, but whatever. At least Chris Mack is awesome

Petrino compiled a record of 41-9 from 2003-2006 at Louisville including a Orange Bowl victory. I get why UofL hired him in 2014, thinking we could get back to that. Just 2 years ago we were ranked #3 with a Heisman Trophy winner. Losing Todd Grantham was a big loss believe it or not. Petrino is just a prick to coach with apparently

Grantham is an even bigger prick. They were destined for each other.
Grantham gets to be the scapegoat everywhere he goes which suggests to me that nobody has ever liked him.

You only get one shot with your alma mater, and Louisville isn't in a great place right now.
Also, once you go there, it's very hard to leave for a better job.

It's probably for the best. It's not always the best idea to coach at a school you've played for, and excelled with. Expectations could be too much to deal with. Influence headaches from familiar people as well could be a problem.
