Promoting Billy Gonzales would probably be the worst move LSU could make.

Did you miss the part where I said "but that isn't saying much."

I wouldn't wanna promote Gonzales either. I think if we are talking slim chance hires that would be great for LSU, I pick Shaw.

"leading candidate" is something that changes. I also remember reading he really wanted Leach a while back.
I think LSU can pull better candidates than Kragthorpe.

On second thought, maybe Chryst would be the better option.
He should be a South Park favorite by playing for the Ottawa Rough Riders and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Krags is probably the best OC out there right now, but that isn't saying much.
Don't forget David Shaw at Stanford. The Stanford Admin is pushing hard for a big name (though the players want Shaw to be named the head man). If Stanford doesn't promote Shaw, look for him to bolt. He would be a good fit and I don't hink he would clash with Miles. Shaw could work with Billy G. (if HE's not promoted) in the passing game and keep the hard-nosed running attack that Les reportedly wants. It would be a pro-style/Big 10-esque attack.

I stated in another post that I'd be happy with Shaw, Chryst, or Dana H. I like what Wisconsin does on ofense...just not sure if Chryst is the guy who's implemented the running attack there...don't know enough about the guy, except that he was the head guy on offense this past year.
