BP didn't say Miles was hiring Krags, so don't start that false rumor

I didn't say that.
He said Krags was highest on his list, or something in that nature.
Never said he was going to be hired.

belowpar was 90% sure crowton was done.
So far, all I've read on Kragthorpe is that he's been interviewed. I don't even think I've seen BP say he's miles' #1 choice.

Promoting BG would be on par with signing Krags.
Neither would be very exciting hires.

Who would you consider an exciting hire? :noleach:

Chryst would be exciting, Leach, Shaw, Fuente

I'm of the opinion that losing Crowton is the exciting part. They could replace him with a partially inflated bicycle tire and I'd still be happy.

didn't BP also mention Les wanting Leach?

This thread is the main reason some people are skeptical of BP, people twist around his words

What makes you believe he would make a mostly lateral move away from his alma mater?

Twisting of what words?
Never did I mention that Kragthorpe was going to be hired, nor did I say that BP said he would be.
All I said is that I hope is is right one more time, in that Krags being Miles top target and getting the job. My personal favorite/opinion.
Check the link further down the page to see "exactly what BP said".

Damn, really? Krags is your favorite?
Posted on 1/12/11 at 12:35 pm to josh336
Either him or Billy.
Yours?
Yours?

I don't think that he would, but if he did it would be exciting.
Leach (I doubt he is a possibility) would be a massive shift in philosophy that I don't think would go over well at LSU.
Krags is probably the best OC out there right now, but that isn't saying much.
I don't know if Whipple is a possibility, but i like him more than Krags.
Promoting BG would be the low budget move, but it would certainly make for an easy transition and it would open up another coaching spot.

Chryst would be fine, but I still believe the Leach would somehow clash with Miles.
I just don't think it would work.
