These co-ordinaries hires are so freaking important andI feel we are in a great position to pick and choose our guys. Kelley is going to get the cream of the crop coming here. It is like kids in a candy store.

If Fickell has any interest then I doubt it.

He obviously should have done that, but Freeman didn't go last year so I'm not sure he goes this year either. I know it's a different HC etc. but Freeman is a midwest guy who I think either slides into the ND job himself or can become Cincy's HC if Fickell ends up at ND. Cincy would be an INCREDIBLE opportunity as he would have a year or two to get stuff figured out before going to a watered down Big 12
Edit: I hope OSU reaches out to him and he goes back home. He's an alum and if he's not a HC at a big program I would like to see him at OSU of course and think they could offer as much as LSU in terms of everything he wants

Yeah no way he would hire herman.
Can't believe people want that smug fukkk.

We need Cincinnati to make the CFP, that will surely keep Fickell there. Then we would need Notre Dame to hire a proven head coach instead of promoting Freeman. In that scenario I think he would come to LSU.

Sounds like they don't want any leftover Kelly guys with reports that they will not be naming an interim and will not consider any of the remaining staff for the HC.
A smack to Freeman for sure.

Make him the associated HC at LSU/ HC in waiting.
Hard to believe Brian sticks around for ten years

SD is normally very conservative with his predictions too.
There are only two ways I see Freeman not coming to LSU. HC at Cincinnati or DC at ND.

Or DC at OSU, his alum who probably needs a complete defensive overhaul this offseason

Tell us what we should think about this lol
I think it’s unlikely he leaves the opportunities there or Cincy, but it’s a swing worth taking. He would be a HUGE get, even if just for a year or two.

He's too young and inexperienced (35 with only a few years as DC). Too big a risk for ND AD to hire him. They'll get Fickell.
I think Fickell would be the better hire, but Freeman has about as much experience as Riley had as a coordinator when he was hired to coach Oklahoma.

Marcus Freeman will probably be the next Notre Dame head coach.
Not so fast, ND didn’t name him as an interim for the bowl game/ playoff, is that a sign.

WTF are you talking about?
He's been a DC for 5 years and coaches some really good defenses at Cincy and ND now. He's been a coordinator longer than Ryan Day or Riley or dozens of other HCs. Kinsgbury was an OC for 1 year only and now is HC in the NFL after getting fired from Tech

No one knows how these things will work out.
