He's not leaving Tech.
Not saying your wrong, but you make the call.
One of his college teammates and good friends was on a podcast after they almost beat Georgia last year. He said there's actually 4 or 5 college teams he would consider and pick up the phone for. Didn't name them though.

Living in the ATL area, I just don’t see him leaving Tech. He’s about to get broke off. I’d want his OC, Buster Faulkner, but I feel like Faulkner would get promoted IF Key left. Key has certainly changed the culture at Ga Tech. They show up well disciplined and physical every Saturday.

Ok, fair. I’m genuinely asking.

He's from Trussville, Alabama. You'd have to figure that Alabama and Auburn would be a couple of them.

He’d be my first choice and first phone call. BUT his ties to Ga Tech might make him hard to pry loose.
This is a tough year for coaching hires because a lot of the best options are coaching happily at their Alma maters.

We have deeper pockets than GT.

He’s definitely someone I have in my top 10 as best coaches in college right now. If he’d take an interview that would be worth the effort.

I know that wouldn’t be a sexy hire but I think it would be exactly what LSU needs.

You’re right - he could get paid a lot more at a bigger school, but with bigger expectations, and a higher probability of getting fired within three years.

Probably Bama and Auburn considering he's from Trussville

No you don't.
Tech has millionaire boosters. Does LSU?
