Boy its been nice watching Boise tumble back to earth this year. Gonna be great watching that junior college shrink away with Petersen gone.

That would be awesome bc they open next season against Ole Miss in Atlanta in the Peach Bowl kickoff

deosn't change that they have won two BCS game my man
I doubt they fall off a cliff b/c they are serious about investing in their program. The have a sweetheart deal with ESPN that keeps them ahead of their MWC conference mates money wise. Its not like they were awful this year either. A down year for them? Sure. But they aren't going away any time soon.

A lot of their magic was being the underdog. You aren't going to recruit if you don't keep that magic going.
As to the investing in the program, forgive me if I'm a bit underwhelmed by a program that spends $8.8 million on football and plays in a 32k seat statdium, WHOO!

What? They are still the underdog.
They were also doing well before Petersen even got there. He isn't the end all be all of Boise football.
Also, their stadium seats 37k and they are expanding it to 53k. Odds are very high they remain a very good program.
Hell, they haven't even had a losing season since Houston Nutt coached his one season in 1997.

Everybody knows Kiffin fails up, not down. If he was the next HC at Texas, I wouldn't be surprised.

why would he make a lateral move? makes no sense. He is one more good year away from being a candidate to a bsc school

If I was them, I would go after Petrino. He's from Montana and has coached in Idaho previously. He would get them right back on top of the non-AQ teams.

Some talk of Bryan Harsin, native of Boise, alumni of Boise... currently at the one stop coaching shop Arkansas State.

That would be epic.
ASU would be hiring their 5th head coach in 5 years.

They'll just do what they've done since Koetter left and promote an assistant, though they are a better job now than when Petersen was promoted after Hawkins left.
They can do better than promoting from within, but I wouldn't be surprised if they played it safe.

Helped put the program on the map, come on Broncos, bring him back.
I guess you don't like Boise State.

Chad Morris, Clemson's OC should probably get an interview.
His style of offense would probably be very successful in the Mountain West
