Great summary. I’d add Rhule and Aranda into the home run category.

I think you should move Aranda down to split fan base and Campbell up to split fan base. Kiffen should be moved to split fan base as well. The only consensus home run hires are Riley and Rhule.

I don't think he's anywhere close to a homerun. Trouble seems to follow him, I think it wouldn't be long before his heart is acting up and he "retires" again. With the title ix stuff going on, he seems like a risky hire.
Meyer spent more time at Ohio State and Florida than Saban did at LSU, and his "heart problems" started before he spent seven seasons at Ohio State. I bet he'd last eight years here at least.

LSU coaching searches are so entertaining because the absolute feminine hysterics are just oozing through every post.

Somebody help me understand the fascination with Aranda.

I'm not getting it.

If Aranda hadn't coached at LSU he wouldn't even be on the radar. It's kind of like the he's one of us scenarios similar to Orgeron. He's coached one good season as a head coach and his recruiting abilities are very questionable

Pretty much.

I think people are high on him because of his personality and organization potential. Basically the anti-O

and he quit when title ix stuff started up. He did nothing about an assistant coach beating the shite out of his spouse. I don't want him. He's a shitty person.

are you saying that if Aranda had been the DC of a national title team that wasn't LSU, and then had the year he was having this year at Baylor, that he wouldn't be on our list?

Tucker would've been an ok hire but MSU offering him 10 yrs 95 mill is insane and he's not worth thay right now. Hard pas because we'd have to match or up that

I agree that we shouldn’t pay Tucker that kind of money and he is pretty much out of the game with the offer from MSU

Yeah, pretty much.

Riley would be the best, just need a competent and good OC. With Aranda we would need a good OC. But also, you can make an argument that Aranda would be the best. Look at Georgia, they made a defensive coach hire a while ago and look how it worked out for them, I think Aranda could reciprocate that.

the reason Kirby is working out is 100% due to his recruiting. not his defensive prowess.

recruiting is most peoples concern with Aranda (i dont know if warranted or not)
