Aranda was just hired at Baylor less than two years ago, and therefore there is a dossier already available via the recruiting firms for them to use. Not to mention he was at LSU for a long time before that. The vetting process for Aranda is minimal, at best. He is a known quantity in the AD.

As a Cajuns fan, I’d love to agree with you. However, he’d receive a huge pay increase for his family with one of those jobs. I’m just begging for one more year with him since our OOC next season is FSU, Rice and E Michigan. VERY doable with him at head coach.

Nobody ever gets a real offer until they have made it clear they will accept it. That way, ADs can always say "Coach Smedley was the first offer we made" or something like that.
