Bill O'Brien (former Texans HC, Penn State HC, and Patriots OC) is in Tuscaloosa today. No clue if it's in an official capacity, but interesting nonetheless.

Serious question..Does Saban have the most former HCs on his roster? I think it’s brilliant to bring HCs in as analysts as a stepping stone between jobs. Just wondering

I think Bill has a decent mind for offense. I just think he got way in over his head and can likely be a bit of a surly douche. He’d likely have a lot of success taking a couple steps back and just working with offense or QBs.

That’s what people said about Sark after the Falcons fiasco

Fine coach. I trust saban and if he's good with I'm good with it. Saban runs the show. His assistants carry out HIS plan.

Remember when people said that when he hired kiffin?

BOB is a giant douche but his failures were largely on the personnel end

Who was his GM that traded one of the top 5 WR’s in the nfl for a 2nd round and a washed up RB...oh yea, it was him.

Saban won’t let him trade away his 5 stars. He just wants help calling football plays for them.

I find it pretty remarkable BOB managed to field even a mediocre team considering he was GM, HC, and OC. He must’ve been busy.

He was very good with that disaster at Pedo St after JoPa. I think he sucked as a personnel guy but is a very good coach.

Not sure how innovative he is offensively and runs a conservative pro style offense, similar to Bama pre Kiffin.

OC for saban is probably the most coveted assistant job in college football

Not probably. Alabama is to washed up coaches what the Betty Ford clinic is to coked up actors. The healing powers of that place are amazing

BOB will get another HC shot again, and it may absolutely come in college. Spending a year in the "Saban HC rehabilitation program" isn't terrible.

If BOB never got the GM duties, he might still be Texans HC.
