Hey i get it he wins yall 7 or 8 games a season and that great because its ames freaking iowa but hes not gonna be the one to get fsu back in the national picture but hey if thats who they want to hire so be it.

I'm just saying he's a really good coach. I can go into why I think that, but it seems like 99% of the people who don't like Campbell don't know much about college football, so I don't think I'll waste my time.

Don't worry though, I'm sure looking at records at face-value is the right way to evaluate coaches. Keep at it

Oh so hes the tom herman of iowa. Can upset teams but cant put together a great season from start to finish.

He’s more like Mullen at State if he stays at ISU longer and keeps slow building. Historically, that’s a TOUGH gig to sustain success at. Who knows how that translates, but it is an accomplishment.

Go back and look at Saban’s records at Michigan State.

What's so special about this coach who bearly has a winning percentage above 50% at his current school after 4 years and only has had 1 really good season in 9 years of coaching.

His Toledo team beat Arkansas the same year LSU couldn't.

He also had Toledo ranked in the top 25.

People struggle with context lol

I've seen posts on this website that say Bill Snyder sucks because he didn't win a natty at Kansas State. People definitely struggle with context because most of them don't watch football if it doesn't involve an SEC team.

I'm sure there are people on this website who think Kyle Whittingham sucks too.

Too many SEC fans "real football " doesn't exist outside this conference! Which means they should only hire coaches from within right? Get a grip people. Iowa St. Has been improving greatly the last few years.

To be fair, Saban dealt with some sanctions his first few years there.

I'm a Campbell fan. I think he'll deserve a big job eventually. However, anyone who isn't sold on him right now is justified IMO.

He's gotten a lot of run out of the OU win from a couple of years ago. But he still hasn't beaten Iowa. They've randomly dropped games you'd think they'd win. Hell, Drake pushed Iowa State to the brink last season.

FSU fans laughed at the possibility of Mark Stoops, but the only thing Campbell wins in comparison is youth. Plus Campbell is a career Midwesterner. I'm not convinced he'd fit.

I know I shouldn't reply because you're illiterate, but it's Iowa fricking State. What he's done there is incredible.

Fair, but he's got a significant talent disadvantage compared to Iowa and even more compared to OU. Iowa has his number while it seems he slightly has Lincoln Riley's.

His dream is OSU or ND though, not arky or FSU. He's Midwest through and through.

Yeah, I fully expect Norvell to be named the FSU head coach after the champ game. I hope he stays to coach the bowl game. I imagine he will if its the Cotton, may not if we lose to Cincy and get a lower tier bowl.
