If true, LSU was Aranda’s longest stop anywhere. Glad to have him as long as we did and good luck to him.

Good for Aranda if true

Guy carried our asses for a couple years, then got shite for a bad stretch of games during an undefeated season. Baylor is a great opportunity for him and I hope he crushes it. LSU will be able to grab another great DC.

I still laugh at the people who were adamant for years that Aranda never wanted to be a HC because he was quiet

If so then that is a HC job worthy of leaving LSU for and congratulations to him.

I thank him for all he did for LSU.

Honestly, Aranda deserves it. Good on him.

Thanks for savings us from 3rd and Chavis, hanging in there through a head coaching shuffle, and most importantly, bringing a championship back to Baton Rouge!!

Now Rittenberg from ESPN and Dellinger reporting Aranda likely to Baylor on twitter in the last 5 minutes.

Now Bruce Feldman reporting the same.

That was awesome. Never seen him show much emotion, especially not for the offense. It was great

Yeah Busch is gone unless LSU hands him the keys. Which I doubt.

I'm certainly happy for him if this is true - BUT - does Aranda really appreciate how much press/glad handing/arse kissing a P5 Head Coach has to do?

He is a really unusual dude. While he has "no shite" A+ credentials on Xs and Os, and at least B+ or better grades as a recruiter, nobody has the vibe he is either a great motivator or great in that domain of dealing with the AD, Board of Supervisors, key boosters, sports media (local and national), and all that other baggage that comes with being a head coach.

I am afraid that he might take Munoz, and we need him as passing game coordinator.

How do you ever know until you actually do the job?

There's plenty of examples of coaches that have all of those qualities who fall flat on their faces. And there's examples of socially reserved coaches that crush it. You never know until you know.
