Its a fine hire in a vacuum. Not necessarily the direction I'd want to go in if I spent 21 million to replace a coach with malzahns performance though

It’s either going to be a hire we look back on like “wow auburn lucked into a great coach by pure incompetence” or it’s going to be a Rich Rod in Michigan situation where he just is out of his depth trying to deal with the baggage that comes with a huge job and intruding boasters as an outsider

Lane Kiffin is the only hire to go with. Yes his defenses are bad but convince Steele to stay. Need to recruit like hell but I think he is just as good of a play caller as Gus. Would be a home run.

Taking over for a guy who went 92-12. He couldn't maintain or take the program to the next level. But he didn't torpedo the program either at least.

Don't think he's bad coach I just don't see the fit here for AU. It's not going to work out, imo.

He’s going to have a time recruiting against other SEC schools with virtually no experience recruiting the southeast.
