Shall we expect something after this weekend as far as hires?

Or do we just let things play out until after January?

I understand BK just got hired but.. there is a lot on the agenda.

Retaining asst. coaches, hiring, recruiting... We are far from a full class this year.

I would hope we have almost all positions filled by Sunday. Kelly after all was our guy weeks ago

He should have a plan and list

Kelly wants most if not all, in place before (edit: early nsd) nsd according to him in the introductory press conference

He's likely meeting LSU assistants now in between practice and also making a few call

I'd be very surprised if at least a couple weren't confirmed by or on Monday. Maybe not the big ones like OC and DC, but some positions

I think he is in a better position than most like to admit. He is available to watch the coaches during practice to see how they actually coach and interact with the players. I also think after tomorrow, alot of things will start moving in regards to position changes.

That's position coaches though the OC and DC carry just as much weight as the HC when it comes to recruiting.

If we don't hear anything by Monday that's 9 days left until ESD

Nobody knows.

But it doesn’t feel like we are close.

I heard earlier that he's hoping to have his first batch of hires ready to roll Sunday night or Monday morning.

Sunday’s a little quick but I would expect a few decisions made early this week and most if not all the positions filled by the end of the week.

I want BK to make the best hires he can, hopefully guys who will do a great job and be here 5 years. If that means taking a couple of extra days so be it. This is bigger than one year

I would keep the staff intact though esd. What’s the rush? Especially after missing out on several of your top picks.

With the transfer portal and new rules about replacing transfers, I’m not too worried about a full class. Keep the kids we have committed and maybe land 6-7 more in the last week.
