And you dont think schumann leans on kirby smart
That is kirby smart's defense
How can you say it about one but not the other

So you can already see who O hires and you think it's going to lead you back to the promise land.

What are your thoughts on schumann?
I like him but he wouldn't be first on my list

Fickell didnt do it by himself
Freeman is a really good coach
I don't even know if he would come to Lsu.

O has already lead his team to the promise land and finished it. Kirby didn't

He's pretty damn good and a young, bright star on the defensive side. He did have a hand in developing game plans at Bama and Kirby thought enough of him to bring him for an on field spot at UGA. On the flip side, we don't know how much much he's doing when he's got Kirby and Lanning to lean on. But, he could also be another Pruitt who was plucked from FSU after a short on field stint with Bama.

Schumann isn't a name most Alabama fans would recognize, but he played a critical role behind the scenes in Alabama's defensive game-planning. Schumann, the son of a college coach, proved adroit at taking Smart and Nick Saban's big picture defensive ideas and boiling them down into concepts the entire team could understand. Choose whichever overused descriptor you'd like -- guru, savant, etc. -- and it accurately describes Schumann. Most impressively, the now-Georgia assistant was only a few years older than the players he was helping build defensive schemes for. Minkah Fitzpatrick told The Macon Telegraph Schumann "knows everything about the defense" and he'd talk to him about the playbook when the coaches were busy.

After Fickell recruited a full 4 year cycle off the 4-8 program he inherited, yea the defense got better. Just like it did in nick sabans 4th year at LSU

if LSU wanted him we would have him.

I think the biggest issue in getting him would be him leaving Kirby.
So which is it?

Some of you frickers just have short term memory! He did replace a shite ton in 2019 and seems he did fine with them. He fricked up the last hire with Pelini and Linehan. Y’all are just scared he will get it right
Posted on 12/22/20 at 4:09 pm to Lester Earl
So, you are on record saying freeman had nothing to do with that and its all fickell?
Posted on 12/22/20 at 4:13 pm to DBG
I dont think you can go wrong with schumann or freeman.
Both are great young coaches.
You need that youth
Brady on defense
Brady, chase, and jetts were attached at the hip

Dude, it’s the fact that he was acting like LSU was a blip but UF beating UGA every year is a given. I’m not dumb enough to think LSU is going to continue to be down but a large portion of the LSU fan base is arrogant and thinks anyone can just show up and win.

Yea I like that shot you had in 2019. How did that work out for you?
Posted on 12/22/20 at 11:06 pm to CatfishJohn
This whole “can’t hire a young unknown, only big names” is going to have to stop.
Posted on 12/22/20 at 11:57 pm to DBG
So give the guy $1.2, mil/ year for 3 years? That is double his salary and you can incentivize his contract where he gets extra if he hits benchmarks in defensive performance. They need to learn a lesson on the Pelini deal and realize they can get these guys that aren’t the upper echelon, big, well known coaches for a lot less.
