Tracker, don't be dense. When she went to Briles, it was indeed an alleged assault.
Lol. No kidding! All charges are alleged until convicted. The problem isn't that it was alleged it's the Briles did nothing with the allegations, which he was LEGALLY REQUIRED to do.
I mean come on. What are we even saying here? I know the rape is alleged, but that doesn't let Briles off the hook for his lack of follow up once the allegations were made does it?
Is it all his fault? No, but he damn sure played a roll. Why would anyone want someone like that wearing purple and gold is just beyond me.

I guess you can't either. Hit the page key, read, and go frick yourself.

I am no Briles apologist but why would the victim go to the head coach vs the police?
No idea and I'm not sure it incredibly relevant. Maybe its because she thought she would be ignored by the Baylor police because they have a reputation for not being very much help if it harms the football team.

Oh man. 5th grade gay jokes. frickin classic. Sick burn bro.

Legally required by the University. It's part of why he was fired.

A victim who thinks the Baylor police would not be much help would automatically feel the head coach would?

You are legally required to drive the speed limit. You don't go to jail for speeding.

They tried to pressure victims into not reporting by telling them they would have to tell their parents they had been drinking if they did. That's sick.
You have a link for this?

You absolutely can go to jail for speeding.

You're being obtuse. The point is obvious that someone not doing something they are legally required to do doesn't mean jail time is automatic.

I thought you were saying Briles was trying to silence victims by threatening going to their parents. That article is about the school admin and Baylor police silencing victims, not the football staff.

I'm not at all being obtuse. I simply corrected your false statement.

Do you get a perma ban on being hired anywhere for speeding????

Since you can't defend briles on the substantive facts presented on the board you resorted to nitpicking other statements to feel better about yourself? Way to go.

Tracker, do you concede that Briles told the woman to go to the police after she met with him? simple yes or no.

Baylor is rotten to the core. Briles was part of what made it rotten. He's not the only bad guy. Hell, he's not even the worst bad guy. But he helped create a culture that put winning football games above everything else including student safety.

Well which case are we talking about here? There are 17 of them involving 19 football players.
While i think you're trying to bait me in to to something...i will bite.
Yes i think in some cases he did tell the girl or the girls coach, guardian, etc. that they should go to the police.
