Chad Morris - fired into 2nd year
Bret Bielema- Ark contesting his buyout
Bobby Petrino - Fired for personal conduct
Houston Nutt - Last with a winning record(Fall Back Option)
The Present List:
Mike Norvell - Already spurned once for Morris hire.
Lane Kiffin -Raiders,Vols,Trojans,Bama(Leaves Burned Bridges everywhere he's been)
Gus Malzahn - Buyout $26M
Brent Venables - Top Notch DC and No Buyout if a HC.
Mike Leach - Can recruit Texas,but will he come to Ark?

Does Venables even want a HC job?
I read somewhere (probably here) last year that he was a fricking weirdo in one of his interviews or some shite years ago and kinda got blacklisted as a HC option.

Venables name has been floated in HC searches for 15 years. If he hasn't taken one by now, he's going to be a lifetime coordinator.

Arkansas will be tough to recruit at. You need a coach system to attract athletes. Mike Leach is the choice.

Leach would take it in a heartbeat.
I don't know how good of a coach he would be... but the SEC has lost some of the "flavor" in the coaching ranks. No Lesticles, No Ol Ball Coach, Saban getting closer to hanging it up... come on man, we need Leach in this conference.

Leach would be a nightmare at Arkansas. He can find a QB out of Texas every year and that's about all he needs.

Leach has been pretty damn good every where he’s gone.
What he has done with Washington state is insane.
Arkansas is objectively a much easier place to recruit to than Lubbock, I wouldn’t be thrilled to have him play LSU every year

He was interested in the job two years ago. He point blank said his agent had spoken to them.
The rumor for years was he was waiting on K-State, but that door has closed looks like.

Leach would be a treasure in the SEC. I don’t know how much success he would have in the west though. Moo U and Ole Miss would probably be easy wins.

Gus’ buyout is only 7 million dollars. It’s only 26 million if we fire him. He can be had for a bargain.
