Agreed. Pittman seems like a great guy and he loves Arkansas. He’s a great fit there and that’s super important

Pittman will do great things in ‘24. They were very close this year
Super happy for him and Razorback Nation

They were so close against Auburn.

That was an anomaly. Arkansas was very tough in most games. This is a great move by your AD. Pittman will get it turned around next year

A loss is a loss no matter if it is a 14-7 or 45-7 game.
That game wasn't an anomaly, Arkansas showed some levels of quit in the State game
This is foreshadowing of what will be plenty of these games next year.
Arkansas has seen this before and an good example are the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

As with the UCLA/Chip Kelly scenario the question becomes, can you really do better? New isn't always better.

Ah yes, the ole Orgeron cheerleader approach.

Sad day indeed. Arkansas waives the white flag for the 24 season before the 23 season even ends.

Arkansas officially gives up on being anything other than the doormat of the SECw.
F the titboss and the wooly mammoth he rode in on.

I think most fans, of other teams, that say this must not have watched all of our games. The only game we looked remotely good in was Florida and that includes our two wins, against "cupcakes", at the beginning of the season. The only reason we were close in the games against Bama, LSU, and Ole Miss is because none of those teams were hitting on all cylinders at the time. Our 56 - 13 win over WCU even looked like dog shite but most just chalked that up to opening game jitters at the time. I hope Sam can turn things around but I'm not holding my breath.

There's pretty slim pickings for coaches this year. Maybe they think they'll have a better shot at a better coach after next season.

quote:Wrong. 45-7 shows there are a lot of underlying issues if it’s to a team not named Alabama or Georgia. 14-7 losses suck but it shows the team is at least not quitting

Close losses also show a coach who plays to lose, is terrible at in-game decision making and can't manage the clock.

Yes getting beat 45-7 consistently each game could be attributed to talent. But 14-7 type games is on the coaching. Sam Pittman is a bad game manager and decision maker.

The only thing missing here is I love that helmet.

Arkansas athletic director Hunter Yurachek informed Razorbacks players and staff last night that he’s sticking with Sam Pittman as the team’s head coach, sources tell @247Sports
In other words, they don't want to pay the buyout yet.

Not sure I understand that comment
I just know that having someone who is one of your own, someone who loves the school and is just a good cultural fit is so critical. Someone from the outside who doesn’t know your culture won’t be as successful.
