Are the Aranda extension rumors solid?

I know all the info about the extension and Aranda's statement hit yesterday, but I was curious if everyone felt this is more posturing or is Dave officially out of the picture?
I saw a 2 week timeline for him signing it based on if Baylor plays for the Big 12 Championship, but is he pretty much off the board?

Why don’t people understand that a coach could sign an extension and literally agree to a contract somewhere else the next day? The extension means nothing
