Anyone else think Matt Canada's next move is a head coaching gig?

He is at his 5th school in seven years...

2007–2010 Indiana (OC / QB)
2011 Northern Illinois (OC / QB)
2012 Wisconsin (OC / QB)
2013–2015 NC State (OC / QB)
2016–present Pitt (OC / QB)

My guess is that he gets a nice fat raise from Pitt this off season and stays there...or takes an open head coach job now.

Don't see who would hire him as a HC. He's way overrated IMO.

Has he ever indicated he wanted to be an HC? He's been an OC since he was 25. Seems like he would have tried to make the jump by now if that was his goal. Do you know if he has publicly stated any interest in being an HC? I honestly don't know. Haven't heard anything personally.

Because he coaches at Pitt, and that guy's a WV fan.

NC State sent him packing last year.

Pitt doesn't seem the type to give big fat raises

Narduzzi makes what Aranda makes.

Not sure. Seems like he's never really been considered for a HC gig before, but maybe he does now. I think he'll stay up north where ever he goes.

BC NC State got worse this year and wasn't bad last year

Also he did a very good job at Pitt this year.

Lost their QB to the NFL, jacoby brissett, he started a few games for new England this season.

Oh, so that success he had at NC State that got him drafted, Canada had nothing to do with that. Got it.

You're are actually asking these emotional nancies for facts?

Their only facts are name calling and sofa coaching.
Most have opinions that are usually what someone posted yesterday.

Not sure why he's bounced around so much, but he's been successful everywhere he's been and LSU has the $ to make him stay put.

Seems to me like he's asking for opinions, not facts.

So why did NC State get rid of him then? I don't know the answer, but would love to know. Has to be some type of issue with him if he wasn't good enough to keep his OC gig at an average ACC school

It was an internal fallout. His offense at NC State was fine. There are several articles if you google it about how they fired the wrong coach.

Chicken, check out this article on the matter:

LINK

It seems they wanted up temp offense and said he underutilized his playmakers. Although they were 3rd highest scoring offense in the ACC behind clemson and NC. The offense was setting school records in consecutive years and he took jacoby brisett from Florida and made him into a draftable pro qb.

There were rumors it was an internal fallout. People were pretty baffled by the firing. People thought the DC should have been the one fired. Seems even more evident that the wrong coach was fired looking back on this year. He is a broyles award finalist this year at pitt. So i guess it worked out for him in the end. Would love to see him at LSU.
