I don’t think Sumrall will get it. After how Elko left after 2 seasons, they don’t want another guy that will use them as a stepping stone.

True, but I doubt anyone else would want Diaz as HC after how forgettable he was at Miami.

In retrospect, it's kind of funny that Miami got rid of him so quickly. In almost 20 years, they've had one good year with Richt. It's not like Diaz tanked the program.
They threw money at Cristobal, but he hasn't improved them. That rich booster released plans for a new stadium last year, but that appears dead now. The AD announced a new football ops building at the beginning of the year, but I don't think they've even broken ground yet.
It's hard to figure out what Miami is ever doing. I think Diaz could do well at a place like Duke.
